Family & Youth Initiative is five years old this month.

We are excited by how much we have grown since those early days of no funding but awesome teens and volunteers to today: including 30 teens with lasting relationships with adults who have shared their love and their lives, helping teens graduate high school, survive heartaches, get into (and succeed in) college, explore interests, discover new places and new activities, celebrate accomplishments, and yes be adopted.

“I was here” is something everyone should strive to say at some point in their life. I know many people who can say “I was here,” whether or not they know it, just because they took the time to invest in my life. No matter how big or small, it helped me to get to where I am today.
