Family & Youth Initiative is recruiting new Board members to start a term in 2025. The Board seeks members who support the mission, functions, and operations of DCFYI and are committed to providing a supportive community and lasting relationships for program participants.
We are gearing up for the holiday party on December 14. If you know DCFYI, you know we do it up big in December and that an important part of our annual party is gifts, because too many DCFYI youth don't get other (or many) holiday gifts.
Every year, DCFYI provides gifts to every participant. Some of their gifts come from wishlists youth provide. We ask youth for their wishlists and then match those with generous friends who fulfill up to a dollar cap ($150 for youth, $75 for any children).
Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which this year falls on December 3rd. This is a big fundraising day for many organizations, including DCFYI!
