DCFYI

Nakia Bell is chair of the Finance Committee. She started volunteering at DCFYI in 2018 as a Finance Committee member to support the organization’s growth and expansion. That included developing some organizational policies and procedures. A lot of Nakia’s work is grounded in service and building capacity. She has over fifteen years of experience in the nonprofit sector and has a solid history of leading improvement initiatives across finance, accounting, and programmatic functions. She currently works at the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine as the Director of Contracts and Grants Accounting. Nakia served on the DCFYI Board of Directors from 2021 to 2023.
